Phil enjoys a meal at the oldest continuously operated restaurant in the world, Sobrino de Botín. Enjoy the house specialty of roast suckling pig or many of the other great dishes , some of which are still cooking in the oven that has been there since 1725.

Phil meets up with chef David Muñoz, one of the best chef’s in the world, at his casual restaurant, StreetXO. Hamachi Sashimi with urchin, Spanish scallop with gazpacho, duck dumplings with crispy pig ear, and roasted Spanish octopus are just a few of the items Phil samples. Don't forget to order the dinosaur egg cocktail.

Phil joins Felipe Turell for pizza and bread at his sustainable restaurant, MO de Movimiento. Not only is the food great, but the restaurant works and employs at-risk youth to help provide them skills to work in the industry.

Just off of Plaza Mayor, Phil finds one of his favorite restaurants. Gambas al ajillo, may be the best garlic shrimp you ever eat in your life.

Barera

Phil joins chef Javier Bonet as they explore the tapas of Calle Ponzano. Barera is the first stop, where Chef teaches Phil that not all tapas are small plates. Phil tries Cabritto, baby goat, and it does not disappoint.

Ponzano is the next stop on Phil and Javier’s tapas journey. Tomato with onion, mushroom and egg, octopus and lamb chops are some of the small plates before Phil is served a giant steak.
