Mason and Lauren, owners and Chefs at Turkey in the Wolf, serve sandwiches and booze at their establishment. In the episode Phil tries the Ma’am Don’t Be Hysterical which has gin, campari, house blackberry syrup and lime cocktail. They dine on Tacos Inauthenticos, which is their own take on Taco Bell tacos and a tasty vegetarian reuben sandwich made with collard greens.

Phil and Actor Wendell Pierce (from Treme and The Wire) dine on some cracklin’s with steamed syrup at Cochon Butcher. Soon a chopping block of blood sausage with grits, cajun boudin, and a hog head cheese plate comes out.

Alon Shaya was the owner and Chef of Shaya. Shaya serves modern Israeli food in his top-ranked restaurant in New Orleans. Phil first visits the Shaya residence for an evening of red beans and rice (held every Monday evening) and gefilte fish. At the restaurant, Phil tries the transformative ljutenica, a Bulgarian spread with roasted peppers, eggplant, and tomatoes. They also offer house-made pita to go with the spread. Phil also tries the taramasalata, short ribs and tabbouleh baba ganoush with spring onions. Alon has now moved on to open Saba https://eatwithsaba.com/
