Cabane À Sucre Au Pied De Cochon

Located on a maple farm just outside of Montreal, “The WIld Chef” Martin Picard has a restaurant that translates to Sugar Shack. Stop in for what Phil describes as a lumberjack-riot-rave festival”. Don't let the description fool you as Martin takes you on a delicious and decadent culinary journey.

Olive et Gourmando

While exploring the market, Phil stops at La Boite Aux Huitres for a quick snack of oysters. They carry the largest selection of oysters in Canada with over 60 types.

Chef Antonio offers his culinary take on the world at Park. Phil dines on chef’s cuisine that is a blend of his life having been born to Korean parents, growing up in South America and living and working all over the world.

Schwartz’s Deli

A landmark of Montreal with Celione Dion as part owner of this classic Jewish deli. Phil recounts his prior life as a Deli manage and learns about smoked meat. Here they marinate brisket for 10 days, dry cure it before being smoked for 8 hours and then finish it with steam. Unlike pastrami and corned beef, Schwartz’s never boils the meat.

Make sure you have time for an elaborate 25 course meal at Montreal Plaza. Charles-Antoine Crête and Cheryl Johnson, co-owners of the restaurant take you on a culinary adventure with many dishes served on toys.

St-Viateur Bagel

The famous Montreal bagel. Phil learns that these bagels are hand rolled and boiled in honey water before going into a wood burning oven, the same process since 1957. Sesame is the top seller and Phil’s rec.
